Privacy Notice
Last updated: August 2026
This notice explains what Octagon Limited does with the personal information you give us. It applies to this website only.
Who we are
Octagon Limited, 54 Lower Marsh Lane, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 3BJ. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at sales@octagonlimited.co.uk or on +44 20 8942 1111.
What we collect, and when
We only collect information you type into one of our two forms.
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and the message you write.
- Careers form: your name, email address, phone number, location, the role you are applying for, your experience, your CV, and anything you write in the covering message.
We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers on this website. Nothing is collected while you simply browse.
Why we use it
- Enquiries: to reply to you and to quote for work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to someone who has contacted us about our services.
- Job applications: to assess your application. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We do not use your details for marketing, and we never sell them.
Who else sees it
Form submissions are processed by Netlify, our website host, and delivered to us by email. Netlify acts as our processor and does not use the data for its own purposes. Beyond that, only Octagon staff who need to see your enquiry or application have access.
How long we keep it
- General enquiries: up to two years from your last contact with us.
- Job applications: up to twelve months, so we can consider you if a suitable role comes up. Tell us at any time if you would rather we deleted it sooner.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it. You can also object to our processing it. Email sales@octagonlimited.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Keeping it safe
This site is served over an encrypted connection, and form submissions are transmitted encrypted. Access to submitted data is limited to the staff who need it.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal data — for example, if we add analytics — we will update this page and change the date at the top.
